SPOTonROCK 1601F Edition #03

ENGLISH

A reed in the wind – SPOTonROCK is a piece of nature, an object, a floor lamp.

This floor lamp consists of a marble base with an embedded brass holder for an easily removable brass pole that carries the spot. The brass spot tube is polished and without surface protection. Over time, the surface changes from a light, almost white tone to the dark gold typical of brass.

The spot is ø 60 mm and 30 cm long and has an E24 socket for LED, halogen or traditional lamps. LED is very suitable as a light source, as the brass gives the light a slightly yellowish colour and thus a warm light is created.

The height can be adjusted by moving the spotlight. When the spotlight is moved upwards, the bar is held with the other hand. Alternatively, the rod can be screwed to the socket with an Allen screw. A special joint developed for this purpose also allows the spot angle to be adjusted.

The marble base comes from a marble quarry in southern Germany that has been closed for 150 years. This marble was used among other things in the altar of the Petersburg Cathedral in Russia. The stone was worked and polished on one or two sides by a stonemason in Berlin. In this way the stone retains most of its broken form.

Depending on the size of the stone you can choose between different lengths of the pole for the floor lamp. Dimensions without height of the stone: 140, 190, 230 cm ø 12 mm.

The first edition consists of 10 pieces.
The floor lamp can be shipped after purchase.

DEUTSCH
